The Sikorski Polish Club is a Glasgow institution, founded by Polish airmen in the late 1940s to fulfil a social and welfare function for their compatriots unable to return home after WWII. It remained a base for a new wave of Poles who came to Glasgow thanks to freedom of movement in the EU.
