I had a great evening on Tuesday, welcoming neighbours and friends to the opening of the “Hame” exhibition at the Barony Centre, in West Kilbride. The group of neighbours I photographed gathered and chatted through the evening; their comments were lovely, and I’m looking forward to deepening the connections we made through the development of this project.

Now I move on to the next phase; this weekend I’m looking forward to working with a number of the young people in the village, and encouraging them to produce their own images of what makes “Hame” for them; then the images are going to be gathered together and displayed down the length of WK’s main drag, in an open air exhibition running throughout the Easter Holidays, entitled “Oor Hame”.
